Charge UK’s analysis shows 93% of new 50kW+ chargers installed between April 2024–26 were outside London.

East of England: +1,029 chargers (95% increase)
North West: +962
North East: +312
London: +554 (48% increase)

This counters the narrative that charging investment is “London‑centric”.

Why it matters:
London invested early and heavily. The rest of the country is now catching up fast, especially in regions with growing logistics hubs, commuter belts, and fleet activity.
